Having been raised in Woodside and lived in the Bay Area nearly all of my life, I know first hand that the San Francisco Bay Area is a place where people want more and expect more from a professional. I designed my business practice to meet these expectations. Because I focus only on a few transactions at a time, I am able to not only apply unique creative strategies while negotiating the sale, but to also spend quality time with my clients in order to better understand their needs.
My business philosophy stems from my unique background. Real Estate has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. My mother Roberta Kerwin became a realtor in 1976. In 1979 she founded Kerwin&Associates and was a leading realtor in the Menlo/Atherton area for over twenty years. In addition my father was involved in a variety of development projects including the development and sales of Paradise Keys in Tiburon. Today I have 3 sisters actively working as realtors in the bay area and my brother works for Wells Fargo Bank as a mortgage broker in there private banking department.
However most importantly, my ability to excel in this job is demonstrated by my interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people from all walks of life. In a nutshell, I am a quintessential people-person, a quality which has been honed in my various jobs as an event planner, bartender and most recently, as a realtor. I am able to communicate and connect with all classes of people and I feel I have a strong ability to read people who do not always state their needs openly. I believe that I have developed a professional manner, courtesy, and patience from years of working as an event planner and realtor and dealing with many challenging situations and last minute developments. Furthermore, my enthusiasm and motivation are apparent and prove invaluable on the job.
