Description of Jackson Brewery
The Jackson Brewery building was built in 1912 by architect James T. Ludlow. The Jackson Brewing Company, which was founded in the 1850s, began operating out of the building shortly after it was completed, but prohibition closed the brewery and it was never used again for its original purpose. It is now a San Francisco city landmark, and one of the city’s great examples of Romanesque Revival architecture.
Award-winning architects Siegel & Strain renovated the building and converted it into 7 stunning live/work lofts. Ranging from 600 to 3,100 sq. ft. (aprx), these units have hardwood floors, maple cabinetry and high quality finishes throughout – not to mention stunning views of San Francisco and beyond.
The Jackson Brewery building is located within San Francisco’s South of Market (SoMA) district along the vibrant collection of clubs along 11th Street. The Public restaurant and lounge is on the first floor.
