Gary Hilbert

A San Francisco native, Gary is proud to call The City home once again, after moving back recently from the east coast where he held senior creative positions with several advertising and branding agencies, servicing world-renowned brands. And he’s especially excited to be working out of our Castro Street office, right down the street from where his father grew up.

As a child, Gary and his siblings were carted around the Bay Area by his parents, exploring the area’s open houses, which gave him an early base for his interest in residential real estate. In addition, his love of architecture, design, San Francisco history, and, most importantly, quality client service all marry well to form a solid foundation as a Vanguard sales associate.

Gary is a firm believer in giving back. He currently serves on the board of Maitri Compassionate Care as board secretary and on its Development Committee - Maitri provides hospice and medical respite care to low-income people living with HIV/AIDS and people recovering after gender-affirming surgeries. Gary also has volunteered for over twenty years with the Human Rights Campaign on local and national levels, serving three consecutive terms on HRC’s National Board of Governors, co-chairing the Greater New York steering committee, co-chairing the Greater New York Gala twice and most recently, the San Francisco Bay Area Gala.
