Rachel Cleaveland

Rachel’s love for Marin runs deep. As a fourth-generation Mill Valley native she understands the market: the nooks, the hidden gems and the possibilities. Rachel is rooted in this community. Homes and home design have been a central part of her professional life for the past 20 years. She has an eye for both potential and detail along with the know-how to make the client’s vision a reality.

After a short stint in Real Estate right after college, Rachel began her professional career in Corporate Communications working for such clients as Cisco Systems and the launch of Windows 95. In 2002when budgets were getting cut Rachel utilized her corporate background by quickly transitioned into the field of photo production. She worked for many years as a photo stylist designing homes for photo shoots and producing interior catalogs. Her clients included Restoration Hardware, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Target, and Serena and Lily. Her work was so well received that she was asked by homeowners to decorate and renovate their homes. This progressed into a successful interior decorating and design business in Sausalito, California. Cleaveland & Kennedy Design, which still exists today.

Rachel’s design and renovation work has been published in many editorial publications including: House Beautiful, Remodelista, Marin Magazine, Coastal Living, California Home Design, Better Homes, Dwell, and Kitchen & Bath.

Rachel’s design background is an asset to her as a Real Estate Agent. She has an incredible vision and the ability to identify potential. Through her previous experiences Rachel has gained the ability to listen, understand and then implement an individual’s stylistic and lifestyle needs. Rachel is a licensed real estate agent in the State of California and is a member of the Association of Realtors and the Bay Area Real Estate Association. She is excited to get to work to discover her clients’ vision and work for and with them to find the hidden gem that will become their dream home.
