Noe Valley

SF District 5

Noe Valley Character
Located near the peninsula's center, Noe Valley is a highly sought after neighborhood. It was once home to the working class, but has since been redeveloped and is now considered one of the most desirable places to live in San Francisco. As such, Noe Valley's home prices tend to be among the highest.

With its delightful mix of Victorian beauties, boutiques, cafes, farmer's market, and palm tree-lined streets, Noe Valley has plenty of hometown charm. It's a walkable community with lots of families venturing out and about with their kids and dogs in tow each day.
Noe Valley Amenities
No doubt, sunshine is one of Noe Valley's selling features. With its inland location, Noe Valley has plenty of warm, sunny days -- even when the rest of the city is shrouded in fog.

You'll notice a lack of chain stores in the neighborhood (with the exception of Whole Foods), adding to Noe Valley's charm. Instead of department stores and upscale outlets, you'll find independent boutiques, markets, bakeries, toy stores, barber shops, and other stores.

Every Saturday, residents flock to Noe Valley Farmers' Market where you'll find homegrown fruits and vegetables along with other typical farmers' market wares and live music.

Noe Valley is home to several parks including Douglass Dog Park where your dog is free to roam while you interact with your neighbors. Several playgrounds and open spaces are located within Noe Valley.
What Else You Need to Know About Noe Valley
Noe Valley is close to the city with easy access to downtown and financial districts using public transportation such as Muni and BART. You'll find several Muni routes and two BART stops in Noe Valley. Many of the streets have bicycle lanes. Taxi and Uber service are both readily available here as well. The 101 freeway is nearby.

If you intend to visit Noe Valley, keep in mind that parking is scarce and pricey. It's a little easier to find parking here than it is in other San Francisco areas, but only slightly.
